PURPOSE STATEMENT

Our FLOW {Future Leaders Of Worship}, ACF Youth Ministry and FLOW Riders {Riding With Jesus} ACF Children’s Ministry exists to Exalt Jesus Christ, Equip our youth and children to accurately handle God’s word, so they can Express Christ’s love, Enjoy other believers, and Experience working for the Lord.

Our foundational scriptures for our Youth Ministry comes from Matthew 22:37-40 {Great Commandment} And he said to him, "You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind. This is the great and first commandment. And a second is like it: You shall love your neighbor as yourself. On these two commandments depend all the Law and the Prophets." and Matthew 28:19-20{Great Commission} “Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all that I have commanded you. And behold, I am with you always, to the end of the age."

Each E that is highlighted is taking from these passages of scripture. Exalt means to worship. We will teach our youth and children the importance of worship and why they need to love God with all their heart, soul, and mind. Equip means disciple. We will teach how youth and children the word of God so that they can go out and disciple others. Express means evangelize. We will take our youth and children out into the community so they can share the good news of Jesus Christ in hopes that others will accept Him as their Lord and Savior. Enjoy means to fellowship. We will teach our children and youth the importance of Koinonia {Fellowship}. Finally, experience means ministry. We will teach our youth and children the importance of doing ministry. Jesus came not to be served but to serve. {Matthew 20:28} Real life ministry comes from actually going out and serving just like Jesus Christ. Our youth and children will be well rounded in all 5 areas. I’m encouraging all parents to memorize the purpose statement of the Youth & Children’s Ministry.

THE BIBLE {Our Foundation}

Our main focus will be discipleship. Teaching the youth and children about the BIBLE is vital for their spiritual growth! 1 Peter 2:2 says, Like newborn babies, long for the pure milk of the word, so that by it you may grow in respect to salvation. We want our youth and children to long and desire the word of God as they spend time studying their bible. As they read they will develop:

Bible Knowledge

Increased Intimacy with God

Bible Study Skills

Love For The Word Of God

Everlasting Love For Jesus Christ

OUR VALUES

We want our youth and children to build meaningful relationships while they are part of the FLOW Youth Ministry. We will incorporate these key elements into our programs and our lives. It is all built on SPIRITUAL RELATIONSHIPS:

Real long lasting spiritual bonds { 1 Thessalonians 2:8}

Encouraging peers to live Holy lives {1 Thessalonians 5:11}

Laughter and fun in the ministry {John 10:10}

Acceptance of non-believers {James 2:1}

Total reliance on the Holy Spirit in their lives {1 Corinthians 2:3-4}

Interaction that brings God glory 1 Corinthians 12:14}

Outreach in the community {Matthew 28:19}

Numerical growth of our youth ministry as youth and children invite their un-churched friends {Acts 9:31}

Spiritual growth for all of our youth and children {Hebrews 6:1}

Home life relationships will be bring God glory {Ephesians 2:21}

Intimacy with God {James 5:16}

Positive feedback from peers {Proverbs 22:1}

Strategic planning to accomplish youth ministry goals {Proverbs 27:33}

Commit to FLOW Youth Ministry!

FLOW Youth Groups: Wednesday nights 7:15 P.M. – 8:15 P.M.

This is when all our youth and children meet. Youth group is designed to have a biblical, friendly, fun, life-transforming, and exciting atmosphere.

GLOW {God’s Leaders Of Worship}

Once our youth and children transition completely through the FLOW Youth & Children’s Ministry and get ready to graduate from High School, they will become GLOW Youth Members. God’s Leaders Of Worship. Jesus said in Matthew 5:14, “You are the light of the world. A city set on a hill cannot be hidden.” Our youth and children will be able to go into the world and GLOW for Jesus Christ. Their light will shine and bring God glory in all that they do. “This is how we will flow for God!” May the grace of God be with all of you!
